Better Cognitive Function with Moderate Alcohol Consumption
Low to moderate alcohol consumption appears to have a positive effect on brain function, according to the findings of a large-scale study from the USA. However, the German Society for Neurology advises interpreting these data with caution.
W&G Wine & Health focuses on the health-promoting compounds in wine. Polyphenols and flavonoids have been shown to reduce the risk of heart attack, lower blood pressure, neutralize free radicals, and slow the aging process. Wine, with its alcohol content, serves as a carrier substance, ensuring bioavailability, which allows these beneficial compounds to be effectively absorbed and utilized by the body.
According to this study, moderate wine consumption also enhances cognitive functions, such as memory performance, concentration ability, orientation skills, judgment capability, and mathematical abilities. While the wine industry has traditionally focused only on enjoyment, W&G Wine & Health goes a step further—researching the health-promoting benefits of carefully selected wines.
