The Dimension of Wine

The pandemic has put an end to social wine gatherings! Temporarily? Let’s hope so!
Only now do we realize that wine is more than just a drink—it’s an experience with many dimensions:
•    A centerpiece for social gatherings, discussions, and new ideas
•    A break from daily routines
•    A means of connection and communication
•    A way to celebrate special occasions and milestones
During the lockdown, winemakers turned to the internet to keep wine culture alive. But let’s be honest—it’s not even a weak substitute.
To me, it feels like cybersex: an illusion of pleasure without real human connection—empty, artificial, a poor imitation.
I’d rather enjoy an ordinary wine with friends than a world-class vintage alone in lockdown.
But the time will come when wine returns to its true purpose.
And when it does—we will raise our glasses and celebrate.
