Phenols – Health-Promoting Substances
Pomegranate, aronia berries, chocolate, green tea, and red wine are foods and delicacies that contain significant amounts of phenols. By consuming the right red wine in moderation, you can meet your daily phenol intake with one to two glasses of 125 ml per day.
Phenols have been shown to lower blood pressure, reduce the risk of heart attack, and slow down cellular aging. The first step is a laboratory analysis to measure the concentration of health-promoting compounds in the wine. Once evaluated, the wine is awarded the W&G Wine & Health Quality Seal.
IMPORTANT! These benefits apply only to MODERATE wine consumption. Alcohol abuse can cause serious long-term health damage.
